My friend Val and I had been thinking about doing something outside our work for quite some time.
At work we helped clients on their change and transformation journey and we also created event series to raise awareness and build knowledge around digital skills, service design, and emerging technologies like AI.
But we had always been missing what we wanted to but chose not to say at work: deeper thoughts. More radical opinions. Wider points of views. Hotter takes. Everything we didn’t manage or couldn’t afford to do at work.
Now we’re doing it through our personal project: Our Fireside Chat:
In an age of digital noise and rapid transformation, Our Fireside Chat offers something different: intimate conversations that matter. This initiative brings together everyday thinkers, doers, and change-makers to explore emerging topics across technology, innovation, public service, and inclusion—focusing on the rich intersections where real transformation happens.

We did our first event on August 7, also softlaunching the website.
Our second event in the series is happening 11:30AM–12:30PM EDT, September 12, 2025.
